Beverly Jean Covert

Beverly (Bev) J. Covert, 75, of Greencastle, PA passed away Monday, August 10, 2026, at Hershey Medical Center with her husband by her side.

Bev was born on July 4, 1951, in Schellsburg, PA to the late Rev. Perry D. Rose and Erma M. Frazier Rose.

Bev was a loving wife, mother, sister and homemaker. She was a bookkeeper for Chet’s businesses, farming and rental properties. Bev enjoyed strawberry season and interacting with the customers. She even had her kitchen decorated with strawberries. Bev enjoyed traveling out West, especially to Holmes County, Ohio. She enjoyed baking, looking through recipes and watching shows on Food Network.

Bev attended the Greencastle Church of God for over 40 years.

Bev is survived by her husband Chester (Chet), two sons, Chet (wife Katrina) of Martinsburg, WV, Chad (Nicole) Greencastle and one grandson, Noah Covert of Greencastle.

Bev is also survived by three sisters, Linda Baker (Bob) of Boswell, Joyce Moorhead (Dave) of Bedford, Nancy Drake of Newville and three brothers, Perry Rose Jr. (Susan) of Jacksonville, FL, Fred Rose (Karen) of New Paris and Norman Rose (Li) of Buffalo Mills.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on August 22, 2026, at the Greencastle Church of God, 4480 Buchanan Trail West, Greencastle, PA, Rev. Floyd Myers officiating.
