Brian S. Schoenleber

Brian Scott Schoenleber, 62, passed away peacefully at home on the evening of August 6, 2026, with his daughter by his side. 

Brian was born on August 15, 1963, and graduated from Chambersburg Area Senior High School in 1981. He later earned his associate degree from Hagerstown Community College. Throughout his career, Brian worked at Keystone TV, started Primetime Services, and also worked at Telecommunication Products Corporation, a job he loved. Brian later went on to work at Vacon, Danfoss, and most recently spent seven years at Rausch USA. He loved his job at Rausch and especially the people he worked with. 

Those who knew Brian will remember him as kind, generous with his time, and always willing to help someone who needed it. He had a contagious smile and always made people laugh. He loved his family and friends. 

 Brian spent more than a decade battling cancer and the effects it had on him. He faced years of pain and difficulty with remarkable strength, often keeping the extent of his illness to himself because he didn’t want those who loved him to worry too much. Many people who knew him did not realize just how much he had been carrying. Even through it all, Brian continued to work, help others, and live his life as fully as he could. For the last two months of his life, Brian was at home, where he was cared for by his daughter, and visited often by family and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Ryan, whom he missed deeply and could not wait to see again. We take comfort in knowing they are together again. He was also preceded in death by his father, William R. “Bill” Schoenleber. 

Brian is survived by his daughter, Emily Schoenleber; his mother, Barbara (Plummer) Schoenleber; his brother, William “Billy” Schoenleber; and his sister, Beverly (Schoenleber) Vagnerini and her husband, Paul Vagnerini; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. 

His family invites all who knew and loved Brian to remember that while the sadness of his loss will last a lifetime, we hold on to the hope that this world, with all of its sickness, suffering, and grief, is not the end. A better age is coming, and one day, we will see him again. 

Brian’s family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the nursing team from Residential Home Health & Hospice for their compassionate and diligent care of Brian over the past two months. Their help enabled Brian to remain at home, where he wanted to be. 

A visitation will be held at King Street Church in the Student Ministry Center (enter through the Baker Center) 162 E. King Street Chambersburg, PA  on Friday, August 14, from 6–8 p.m.
