Cheryl C. Burdett, 74, of Doylesburg went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, February 4, 2021. Born in Chambersburg, PA on July 22, 1946 to the late Garnet E. & Arlene I. Cook.
Cheryl really loved her family and her church family. Her grandchildren were her world. She was a great “Prayer Warrior” for all that she loved. She will be greatly missed by so many.
Cheryl lived out her last days being spoiled and greatly taken care of by her grandson Brent and his wife, Leah who was her care taker.
She is survived by her daughter Scarlett Mackling, son Donald Mackling and daughter Lisa Daywalt and husband Craig; one sister, Bertha McNew and one brother Garnet E. Cook Jr. As well as grandchildren; Brandi, Christina, Courtney, Brent and Connor. And great grandchildren; Zaine, Greyson, Ariana, Ruby, Cooper. As well as several nephews and nieces. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James H. Burdett and a sister Pam Gipe.
Memorial Service will be held Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Freedom In Christ Church, 4042 Sycamore Grove Rd, Chambersburg, PA 17202. We will receive family and friends at 12pm with service starting at 2pm. Pastor John Pogue will officiate. Refreshments will be provided afterwards.
Arrangements have been entrusted to SimpleChoice Cremation Services, Inc., Chambersburg, PA.
