Dale Owen Long

Dale Owen Long, 77, of Chambersburg, PA passed away Friday, July 4, 2025 at the Chambersburg Mercy House. Born July 23, 1947 in McConnellsburg, PA he was the son of the late Furman and Mary (Parks) Long.

Dale graduated from Southern Huntington High School. After graduation he was employed as a mechanic throughout his career, a job he loved. He liked hunting, watching old western movies, and spending time outdoors with his family and grandchildren.

He is survived by four children, Jeffrey Neil, Sr. (Vonetta Foore), Jeremy Neil, Sr. (Catherine), Rusty Neil (Christine) and Heidi Neil; thirteen grandchildren, Aaron, Craig, Austin, Abby, Kensley, Tyke, Kaylan, Kendall, Jeremy, Jr., Cathleen, Jeffrey, Jr., Jordan Neil, and Linda Myers (Karl); eleven great-grandchildren, Mayze and Miles Ehrhart, Nevaeh, Ivyleigh, and Kavin Stine, Jr., Victoria and Brayden Williams, Grayson Myers, Scarlett, Bowen, and Enzlee Neil.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his long-time companion, Debra Neil; and two children, Candice Long and Dale Long.
