David Eugene Flory

David Eugene Flory, 69, of Chambersburg, PA went home to be with the Lord Friday, July 17 2026. Born July 13, 1957 in Fayetteville, NC he was the son of the late Garnet E. and Shirley M. (Banks) Flory.

David is survived by his wife of almost 42 years, Peri (Gilbert)Flory.

He is also survived by two daughters, Deanna Leab (Tony) of Shippensburg, and Kristin Flory (Corey) of Mont Alto, PA; one brother, Robert Flory (Sue) of Fayetteville, PA; one nephew, Shawn Flory of Chambersburg, PA; one niece Sydney Gilbert of California; and a family friend David Kauffman. As well as his beloved fur babies who will miss him.

In addition to his parents, David is preceded in death by his father-in-law Charles P. Gilbert; his mother-in-law, Delores G. Gilbert; brother-in-law, Dirk G. Gilbert; and a nephew Eric R. Flory.

David graduated high school from Northern Lebanon in 1975. He then went to work for the Department of Revenue in Harrisburg, PA as a Tax Examiner until retiring in May of 2005.

David’s passion was bowling, and at one time he was a Semi-Pro and threw a perfect game in 1983. David loved bowling and once said “A family that bowls together, stays together”. In addition to bowling, David loved spending time with his daughters, whether it was fishing or whatever they wanted to do, especially watching his favorite team the Atlanta Braves.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00am Saturday, September 12, 2026 in the Grand Point Church, 2230 Grand Point Road, Chambersburg, PA 17201

Also, the family would like to thank Core Organ Recovery, the entire CCU team at Chambersburg, Hospital and the emergency personnel that assisted at there home.
