Earl E. Shatzer Jr.

Earl E. “Butch” Shatzer, Jr., 62, of Greencastle, PA passed away Thursday, April 9, 2026, in Mercy House, Chambersburg, PA. Born March 18, 1964, in Hagerstown, MD he was the son of Myrna (Barlup) Shatzer and the late, Earl E. Shatzer, Sr.

In addition to his mother, Butch is survived by two sisters, Wanda Funk (Terry) and April Shockey (Gary) both of Greencastle; several nieces and nephews; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by a sister Crystal Helman; niece, Stephanie Helman, and a special friend Tanya Lamier.

Butch was a graduate of Waynesboro Area Senior High School with the Class of 1983. He was employed as a welder for many years at JLG Industries, Greencastle.

He enjoyed spending time outdoors, hunting, fishing, and riding his ATV and motorcycle. Butch loved working on vehicles alongside his nephew, Dustin Funk. He had a kind heart and loved spending time with his family and good friends.

A Celebration of Life is being planned by his family for a later date.
