Harold E. “Gene” Kauffman, 82, of Chambersburg, PA passed away Friday, May 14, 2021 in Paramount Senior Living, Chambersburg. Born September 30, 1938 in Waynesboro, PA he was the son of the late Benjamin F. and Jeanetta I. (Koons) Kauffman.
He was a graduate of the Chambersburg High School with the Class of 1957. Gene then went on to serve in the United States Air Force from 1957 until his honorable discharge in 1958.
He was employed in data entry at Letterkenny Army Depot until his retirement in 1988. Gene was a member of the Letterkenny Rod and Gun Club.
He is survived by his son, Robin Kauffman and his wife Deb of Chambersburg; a granddaughter Nikki Naugle and her husband Josh of Chambersburg; two great-grandchildren, BayLee Krug and Blake Reuter; three brothers Terry Kauffman of Dover, PA, Gary Kauffman of Altoona, and Frank Kauffman of Chambersburg.
A private memorial service will be held in the Chapel of SimpleChoice Cremation Services, Inc., 1680 Orchard Drive, Chambersburg, PA 17201.
