Helen J. Thompson, 96, of Fayetteville, PA passed away Monday, June 16, 2025 in Menno Haven Chambers Pointe, Chambersburg, PA. Born June 14, 1929 in Christian Hill, NY, she was the daughter of the late Charles E. and Mertie (Thompson) Jacobs. She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church, Fayetteville, PA. She liked cooking, baking, crocheting, sewing, working with her plants and flowers, and reading her Bible. She loved spending time with her grand dogs, Annie, Audrey, and Spike. Family meant everything to her, they were her life. She was known as Gram and Grammy to her family and friends.

She is survived by three children, Charles E. Thompson (Marilyn) of Somerset, PA, Joyce A. Kentner of Fayetteville, PA, and Barbara H. Thompson of Fayetteville, PA; a brother, Fred Jacobs of NY;  grandchildren, Chet Thompson of PA , Crystal Wiley of PA, Katherine Thompson (Steven Pasterz) of CA, Brian Thompson (Zeynep) of CA, Claude Kentner (Melanie) of NC, and RD Kentner (Brandi) of MD, great-grandchildren Kayla Colsher (Kevin) of PA, Cheyenne Thompson (Richard Palmer) of PA, Ashley Kentner of MN, Heather Kentner (Chris Traywick) of AL, Cassandra Kentner of NC, great-great grandchildren AJ, Kaiden and Elena of PA, Jericho of AL; and numerous nieces, and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Erwin Thompson, son-in-law, Claude L. Kentner, Jr., and five siblings.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are entrusted to SimpleChoice Cremation Services of Chambersburg, PA.
