John M. Carey, 65, of Chambersburg, PA passed away Saturday, July 23, 2022 in the York Hospital. Born June 24, 1957 in Chambersburg he was the son of the late Charles Carey, Sr. and Blanche Herdman.
He attended Chambersburg Area Schools. John was employed as a machinist at TB Woods for a number of years. He was also employed in construction throughout his life. He enjoyed listening to rock music.
He is survived by two children, John M. Carey, Jr. of New Kingstown, PA and Karen Carey of Chambersburg; four grandchildren, Austin C.D. Burgenstock, John M. Carey, III, Taven A. Carey and Natalie A.M. Carey; and two siblings, Charles “Chuck” Carey, Jr. pf Waynesboro and Sonja Lawson of Lynchburg, VA.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by SimpleChoice Cremation Services, Inc., Chambersburg.
