Katherine Spriggs, 72, of Chambersburg, PA passed away Monday, July 25, 2023 at Laurel Lakes Nursing Home. Born June 27, 1951 in Shirleysburg, PA she was the daughter of the late John C. Parson, Sr. and Beulah C. (Thomas) Parson.
Katherine loved flowers, music, crafts, and western movies. She enjoyed going out to eat at her favorite places; Stoners, Family Table and The Little Dipper Restaurants and ordering a pizza-burger with onion rings.
On Saturdays Katherine spent time with her sisters. Together they would go to thrift stores, craft shows, or whatever else they may find to do and then go out to lunch. On Sundays Katherine and her son, Homer would spent time together getting groceries. Katherine always enjoyed spending time with her family, but as the family grew, she enjoyed spending time with her extended family during the holidays as well.
She is survived by her son, Homer Parson (Tonya) of Fort Loudon, two sisters; Jenny Wetzel (Ron Misner) of Chambersburg, Julia Cornman of St. Thomas, two brothers; John C. Parson, Jr. (Ruby) of St. Thomas and Fred J. Parson (Rene) of Big Cove Tannery; six grandchildren;four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William "Skip" Spriggs; a son, Timothy Parson; two sisters, Jane Heath and Jeanne Hammond; and a brother, John D."Dale" Parson.
