Kenda O'Brien

Kenda Ann O’Brien, 57, of Frederick, MD passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2023. She was born in Washington, D.C. on April 1, 1965 to Kay O’Brien and the late Kenneth Wilt.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her fiancé, Matthew Jason Brown; son, Kenneth Kober and wife Logan; daughter Kelsey Myers and husband Corey; step-mother Vonda Wilt; siblings Kasha Williamson and husband Kelly, Chrisy Foltz and husband Jim, Kevon Wilt and wife Kim, Cathy O’Connor and husband Dan, and Alicen Schoolmeester. She is also survived by Aunt Shon and Uncle Ian Speir; Aunt Joyce Wilt Sine and husband Chuck; nieces and nephews: Lindsay, Jake, Christian, Tess, and Colin; and beloved grandchildren Brennan, Maci, Addison, Drew, and Grayson. Along with many friends, she will be remembered and was loved by Matthew's grandparents Carolyn and David; mother Denise, Aunt Michelle and her daughters Lex and Maddi, Brother Adam, and of course fur-baby Jon Pawl Snow Stark.

Kenda loved spending time with her family. Most of all she cherished being with her grandchildren. She was selfless, always putting the needs of others before her own and devoted much of her time caring for those she loved. She was an avid animal lover, with a soft spot for rescues, that cared for pets, especially cats. She loved finding Goodwill bargain treasures, decorating/baking and creating a home, tending to her plants and gardening, snowy mountains and sunny beaches, visiting Amish country, watching true crime mysteries and enjoying Hallmark movies with her mother. Kenda will always be remembered as "belle âme" - a beautiful soul.

Services will be held in private by Kenda’s family. Arrangements are entrusted to SimpleChoice Cremation Services, Chambersburg, PA.
