Mary G. (Pool) Cowan, 71, of Mercersburg, PA passed away Friday, February 4, 2022 in the Chambersburg Hospital. Born October 23, 1950 in Fulton County, PA she was the daughter of the late Norman “Jack” and Mabel (Bricker) Pool.
She was a graduate of James Buchanan High School with the Class of 1968. Mary was primarily a homemaker but was also employed at Fresh Express, Greencastle for a number of years. She enjoyed reading and sewing.
Mary is survived by her husband of nearly 50 years, Alan W. Cowan who she married May of 1972; four children, Patrick Cowan (Lisa) of Chambersburg, Anthony Cowan (Vicki) of Fayetteville, PA, Christopher Cowan (Andrea Friese) of Chambersburg, and Kelly Cowan (Zachary Custer) of Mercersburg, PA; two grandchildren, Devon and Rochelle Cowan; and two brothers, Kenneth and Greg Pool of West Virginia.
