Michael L. Barnhart

Michael L. “Mike” Barnhart, 71, of Mont Alto, PA passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 surrounded by his loved ones at his home. Born June 29, 1954 in Waynesboro, PA he was the son of the late Eugene and Lorraine (Faurney) Barnhart.

He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Patricia L. (Bricker) Barnhart.

Mike is also survived by four step-children; Stacey and Lori Bingaman, Nakita Hollenshead, and John Ray, Jr.; five sisters, Linda Hykes, Carol Koontz, Nancy Barnhart, Susan Hafer, and Julie Irwin; and two brothers, Barry and Joel Barnhart.  In addition to his parents, Mike is preceded in death by his brother, Randy Barnhart.

Mike loved his family, and enjoyed building things with wood for them, riding his motorcycle, and above all fly fishing with his best friend Allen Bright.  He will be missed by his family, and his closest neighbor Gary Horst.

A Celebration of Life is being planned for a later date.
