Richard O. Cook

Richard O. Cook, 90, of Fayetteville, PA passed away Monday, August 31, 2026 peacefully in his home with his family by his side. Born January 23, 1936 in Chambersburg, PA he was the son of the late Charles and Mary (Noll) Cook.

He is survived by four children, Jeff Cook (Tina), Kathy Myers (John), Lisa Thomas (Danny), and Stacy Carbaugh (Joe) all of Fayetteville; seven grandchildren; eight great- grandchildren; and one brother Gary Cook (Jen).

In addition to his parents, Richard is preceded in death by his wife, Doris J. (Mull) Cook; son, Richie E. Cook; a daughter, Teresa J. Cook; and two grandsons, Justin Myers and Garrett Cook.

Richard served in the United States Army. Following his honorable discharge, he was employed as a truck driver for Letterkenny Army Depot until his retirement.

He enjoyed hunting, playing poker, watching sports, cheering on the Baltimore Orioles, and above all he loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. Friends will miss seeing Richard sitting on his front porch and waving to them as they drove by his house.
