Ruth "Sandy" Roschinsky

Ruth “Sandy” A. Roschinsky, 77, a resident of Fayetteville, PA, and formerly of Mercersburg, PA, passed away peacefully at 11:15 am Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at the Chambersburg Hospital. Born on August 8, 1943 in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of the late James Harold and Daisy Pearl (Heckman) Rohrabaugh.

Sandy graduated from James Buchanan High School in 1961. She was a retired Systems Analyst of the Letterkenny Army Depot, prior small business owner and after retirement, a cashier at Rite Aid in Fayetteville. She met the love of her life, Walker S. Roschinsky in 1983. They married on June 2, 1990. Surviving are her husband, Walker, her four children, James F. Wolfe, Jr, Steven A. Wolfe, Kevin L. Wolfe and Laura A. Green, and three sisters, Janet (James) McGlaughlin, Dord (Earl) Simms, and Shirley (Robert) Rhodes, nine grandchildren and many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by both parents, and her brother, James H. Rohrabaugh, Jr.

Sandy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She enjoyed spending time with family and loved vacationing at the beach. She was an excellent home decorator, snazzy dresser and great conversationist. She was always willing to help others and volunteered with the Friends of Caledonia. She showed her love to others by just being there for them and always providing a listening ear or advice when needed. Anyone that knew her would recognize her beautiful smile and fun spirit. Her influence will forever remain with all that knew her.

A memorial service will be held 6:30 P.M., Friday, May 21, 2021 in the Norlo Park Community Center, 3050 Lincoln Way East, Fayetteville, PA 17222. The family will receive friends from 5:30 P.M. until the start of the service at 6:30 P.M., Friday evening in the Community Center. Arrangements are by SimpleChoice Cremation Services, Inc., Chambersburg, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Cumberland Valley Breast Cancer Alliance, 344 Leedy Way East, Chambersburg PA 17202 or Friends of Calendonia, 391 Brandy Run Rd, Newville, PA 17241. The family wishes to extend our gratitude to all the healthcare workers at the Chambersburg Hospital, Heartland Hospice, and Wellspan Palliative and Supportive Care Team who provided such excellent care for Sandy.
