Samuel G. Rideout

Samuel G. “T-Bone” Rideout, 77, of Chambersburg, passed away Saturday, September 6, 2025, peacefully at the Chambersburg Hospital. Born May 26, 1948, in Chambersburg, PA, he was the son of the late Samuel R. and Freida M. (Demas) Rideout.

He loved sports and talking sports to any and every one who would listen.  Making people laugh was something that came natural to him!  He loved his family and friends.

He is survived by one daughter, Renee Rideout Miley (Shannon) of Chambersburg; six grandchildren, Megan, Kevyn, Courtney, Alexander, Raine and Mehki; seven great-grandchildren, Kian, Kali, Bryson, Jaylyn, Cayden, Kyree and Zebulan.  Loving and helping raise them made him the happiest.  He is also survived by a sister, Sharon Rideout, Chambersburg; two brothers, Ralph and Bradley Rideout; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Betty (Spoonhour) Rideout; his son, Brett Rideout; and two brothers, Jackie and Michael Rideout.

 The memories we have are endless, and he will be truly missed.
