Sarah Patricia Negley

Sarah Patricia “Pat” (Goodhart) Negley, 90, of Carlisle, PA passed away Thursday January 15, 2026, at the UPMC Hospital Carlisle. Born October 2, 1935, in Plainfield, PA, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Myrtle (Evelhoch) Goodhart.

She is survived by her daughter, LoriEllen Orr (Stephen Griffith) of Carlisle and a stepson, Loren E. Negley, Jr. (Ralph Cangelosi) of Boiling Springs. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Emlyn Orr of Brooklyn NY and Liam Orr of Carlisle and two siblings, Loleta Shenk and William Goodhart both of Carlisle.

In addition to her parents, Pat is preceded in death by a brother, Tom Goodhart and two sisters, Mary Jones and Norma Grove.

Pat’s family was incredibly important to her. She loved spending as much time as she could with them. She also loved cooking, going to the beach, gardening, and enjoying her favorite season, spring.

The family is planning a Celebration of Life to be held in the spring.
