Tammy Lynn Nealley, 62, of Chambersburg, passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at the Chambersburg Hospital. Born May 21, 1963 in Burlington, VT, she was the daughter of Christine (Manning) Savage and the late Robert Savage.
She is preceded in death by her son Thomas Savage who passed away in 2016.
Tammy is survived by her loving husband, Todd Nealley and was a proud mother to Courtney Mason her daughter (Zachary). She is also survived by a stepson; Anthony Nealley; three brothers, Bernard Savage (Patty), Michael Savage, James “Jimmy” Jimmo; three sisters, Cathy Renaudette, (Steve) Angela Jimmo, and Christy Jimmo. Lucia Milburn was a special woman in her life who mourns her loss. She leaves several nieces and nephews whom she adored very much.
Throughout her life she brightened the day of many while exploring different occupations. She worked as an administrative assistant and medical transcriptionist at the Brandon Training School, served as court clerk at Addison County District Court, and most recently co-operator and bookkeeper for the family business Teddy Tire.
Tammy’s greatest joys in her life were her children and family. She also had a great joy and excitement that she was going to be a grandmother for the first time in March of this year. In her later years she enjoyed traveling to historical sites and learning about our country’s past and growth from the beginning.
She loved watching people in general and she and her husband Todd would take trips enjoying shopping and sitting quietly at coffee shops while admiring the scenery and each other’s company. She greatly looked forward to her trips to Vermont to visit her family and especially cherished the quality time spent wither her daughter, Courtney.
Tammy always would recognize the good in everyone and allow that good to build upon the relationships she had with others.
When she would be at home, she would do cross stitch, color pictures and was a veracious reader. As much as Tammy loved traveling, shopping, and learning about our history, she also welcomed a quiet night, enjoyed at home and the peacefulness of just being together with her husband.
Tammy will always be remembered by those that knew her as a loving mother, sister, family member, and a true friend that never had coarse words to say about anyone. The thing that would upset her the most was then she felt she had not done enough for someone she loved and cared about.
She will be greatly missed. Her beautiful smile, infectious laughter, quick wit, and endless compassion will be remembered by all. Rest in peace beautiful lady and enjoy the company of the loved ones who have made the journey before you. We especially hope and pray for your peace in being reunited with your son Thomas.
In addition to her father, Tammy is preceded in death by three brothers, Mark “Jake” Savage, Robert “Bobby” Savage, Jr., and Kenneth “Kenny” Savage, and a nephew, Paul Savage.
You will forever live on in, our minds and hearts, and we will strive to find all the good in the world in your memory.
A memorial service will be held in Middlebury Vermont at a time and place that has not yet has been determined.
