William P. Hershey Jr.

William P. “Yeti” Hershey, Jr., 52, of Chambersburg, PA passed away unexpectedly Sunday, May 10, 2026 at Hershey Medical Center. Born April 9, 1974 in Chambersburg, he was the son of the late William Hershey, Sr. and Rita (Unger) Cummings.

William was a 1993 graduate at Chambersburg Senior High School and then went on to attend the Art Institute in Pittsburgh, PA.

William affectionately known as “Yeti” worked as a beloved host of Animation Courtyard on Sorcerer Radio, a Disney radio channel from 2011 until 2026. He was also employed by Thermo Fischer Scientifics for two years.

He survived by his loving fiancé of 5 years, Erica Davies, whom considered William her prince charming; five children, Jacob Hershey of Pittsburgh, PA, Shiloh, Sarah Alex, Aiden, and Ella Hershey all of Chambersburg; Erica’s three children, Cassandra Davies (Jordan McClure),  Savannah Davies (Ian Sandefur), and Nicholas Davies; a granddaughter, Avery McClure;  two aunts, Cindy Ferry and Connie Hanley; and an uncle, Dale Cummings. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Raymond L. and Dorcas A. (Unger) Cumming, and nine aunts and uncles.

William loved anything Disney related, especially Lilo and Stitch. He also enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Steelers as a devoted fan, coaching his children’s soccer team at Andrew Buchanan Elementary School, riding his Harley, and going to amusement parks and the beach. Christmas was William's favorite holiday and he took great pride in decorating his home. He also had an extensive Disney and  Lego collection. William was truly was a kid at heart.

He will be forever missed by Erica, and everyone that knew and loved him.

A private Celebration of Life will be held by his family.
